Welcome candidates and constituents of the upcoming Clearwater Shire Council Elections.

This site is designed to be a central meeting-place for Candidates, prospective Candidates and Voters. The site offers an opportunity for Candidates to release all of their election material (Videos, Pictures, Text, Personal Profiles, Discussion pieces etc) and it is a convenient place for Voters to view all of the alternatives side by side.

Here Voters can post questions to the Candidates and Candidates have an opportunity to offer their answers and opinions on any of the topics put to them.

This is the Forum that doesn’t exist anywhere else: a one-stop-shop that is not offered in any of the other local media. Here you can see all of the Candidates side-by-side and make your comparisons, ask them questions and even offer suggestions.

Our own research into the development of this site has included discussions with appropriate personnel within:

• Victorian Electoral Commission

Whilst none of these agencies are endorsing this particular web site, they do however regard the Principle of greater community/candidate communication as indicative of healthy community engagement.

It must also be stated that this site is completely independent of each of the above organisations. This site must be treated as a stand-alone ‘community and/or commercial site’.
