Election Central is a web site designed to be a central meeting-place for Candidates, prospective Candidates and Voters in the lead up to the November 2008 Victorian Local Government Elections.

Each local government electorate has its own section within the site. This offers an opportunity for Candidates to release all of their election material (Videos, Pictures, Text, Personal Profiles, Discussion pieces etc) within their own ‘electorate section’ and it is a convenient place for Voters to view all of the alternatives side by side.

Here Voters can post questions to the Candidates and Candidates have an opportunity to offer their answers and opinions on any of the topics put to them.

This is the Forum that doesn’t exist anywhere else: a one-stop-shop that is not offered in any of the other local media. Here you can see all of the Candidates side-by-side and make your comparisons, ask them questions and even offer suggestions.

Following the November 2008 elections, Councillors are being offered their own page where they can interact with you, their constituents. You will be able to access this at Councillor Central
